The third season of the TV anime The Dangers in My Heart, based on the original manga by Norio Sakurai, has officially been announced and is scheduled to air in 2027. To celebrate the announcement, a special illustration by character designer Masato Katsumata has also been released.
The original manga is serialized on Akita Shoten’s web manga platform Champion Cross. The anime’s first season premiered in April 2023, followed by the second season in January 2024. In addition, a theatrical version of the anime series featuring re-edited scenes and new footage began screening in February 2026.
The streaming platform HIDIVE currently streams the first two seasons and describes the second season as follows:
Fascinated by murder and all things macabre, Kyotaro fantasizes about acting on his twisted thoughts to the detriment of his classmates. His heart was dark until an encounter with Anna lit a spark within it in a classic tale of antisocial boy meets popular girl. Now they must both navigate a blossoming relationship and defy the expectations they have of each other and themselves.
