The Cat and the Dragon Anime Adaptation Officially Announced!

February 22 is celebrated as Cat Day in Japan.

The TV anime adaptation of The Cat and the Dragon, originally developed as a novel and later adapted into a manga, was officially announced today, February 22, in celebration of “Cat Day.” To mark the occasion, Mai Okuma and Izumi Sasaki also shared newly drawn illustrations.

The Cat and the Dragon is a fantasy story exploring the mysterious bond between a dragon, a cat, and a human raised by a cat. Written by Amara and illustrated by Mai Okuma, the novel is published by Takarajimasha, alongside its comic adaptation by Izumi Sasaki. The novel spans up to seven volumes, with three available in paperback, while the comic adaptation consists of ten volumes.
