Tanuki to Kitsune TV Anime Premieres on October 4

The series has sold over 1.3 million copies in Japan.

The key visual for the TV anime Tanuki to Kitsune, based on Atamoto’s original manga, has been revealed. The anime will premiere on October 4 and follows the daily lives of a slightly eccentric tanuki and a mischievous fox.

It has also been announced that Tanuki to Kitsune: Yurutto 2, the latest volume of the series, will be released on October 15. The new volume will feature stories about Tanuki and Fox as children, as well as episodes where they dress up as detectives and heroes. It will also include 61 pages of newly drawn manga.

Tanuki to Kitsune follows the everyday life of a slightly absent-minded raccoon dog and a mischievous fox. The series has published 10 volumes, along with three picture books, and has sold over 1.3 million copies in total.
