Studio Ghibli will premiere its new short animation “Majyo no Tani no Yoru” at the large warehouse theater in Ghibli Park starting July 8. The park itself first opened in November 2022 in Aichi Prefecture.

Directed by Goro Miyazaki and Akihiko Yamashita, the short film is set in the park’s “Valley of the Witches.” It marks the first original animation created specifically by Studio Ghibli for Ghibli Park. More details about the project will be revealed at a later date.
At the premiere screening on July 8, both directors will appear on stage to greet the audience and share insights into the production process. Attendance for this special event is limited to 150 people and requires advance registration. Visitors must also reserve and purchase a ticket to enter the Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse.
Tickets for July, including access to the screening, will go on sale on May 10 at 2 p.m.
