Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 Chapter 6 Premieres on June 26 in Japan

Teaser visual has been revealed.

The newest installment in the Space Battleship Yamato remake series, Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199, will debut in Japanese theaters on June 26. Chapter 6 will feature episodes 19 through 22, and a newly illustrated teaser visual has also been unveiled.

As previously announced, the anime will comprise a total of 26 episodes, presented in seven chapters for theatrical screenings.

In addition, advance tickets for the sixth chapter are now on sale in Japan. The “MoviTicke” card edition tickets can be purchased at theaters and online stores. People who buy these tickets will receive a B2-size poster featuring the teaser visual as a special bonus:

The classic Space Battleship Yamato TV series, which aired in Japan from 1974 to 1975, served as the catalyst for numerous sequel series and films. Fast forward to 2012-2013, and we witnessed the launch of the remake anime project known as Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199.

Crunchyroll has begun streaming the first 10 episodes (out of a total of 26) of Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199, described as follows:

In 2207, two years after Gamilas and Iscandar vanished, a colossal object, the “Grand Reverse” appears, effortlessly breaching Earth’s defenses. Swarms of troops and multi-legged tanks swiftly conquer Earth’s capital city. Amidst the chaos, the old Yamato crew receives a secret order and now begins a voyage for unseen dimensions while humanity’s fate hangs in the balance.
