The anime currently in theaters in Japan, SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT, has been confirmed to air as a TV anime starting in January 2027 on Crunchyroll. Based on the popular game SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE, the TV anime will consist of 8 episodes.
While following the story of the theatrical version, the TV anime will expand the story with many new scenes and cuts.
A new key visual has also been released to celebrate the announcement. It features Wolf and Kuro standing in front, surrounded by pampas grass as they face a difficult battle ahead. Several powerful enemies can also be seen behind them.
