Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary. To join the celebration, the new anime series Pokémon Horizons: The Series shared a special illustration. The drawing was made by character designer Rei Yamazaki.
A short video was also released. The anime shared a special 30th anniversary logo. In the logo, Captain Pikachu is at the front.

The new Pokémon anime started in Japan on April 14, 2023. It is directed by Saori Den and produced by OLM.
The show first aired in English in the UK in December 2023 on BBC iPlayer. In North America, it started on Netflix on March 7, 2024. Season 2, called Pokémon Horizons: The Search for Laqua, premiered on Netflix on February 7, 2025. Season 3 Part 1, titled Pokémon Horizons: Rising Hope, premiered on January 6, 2026.
