PELELIU: Guernica of Paradise Anime Film Reveals Main Cast and New Teaser

Kazuyoshi Takeda's World War II manga.

The main voice cast for the anime film PELELIU: Guernica of Paradise, directed by Kazuyoshi Takeda, has officially been announced. Alongside the casting reveal, a special video and teaser visual have also been released. The film is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on December 5.

Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise was serialized in Hakusensha‘s Young Animal from 2016 to 2021 and received the Excellence Award from the Japan Cartoonists Association in 2017. A spinoff series, Peleliu Gaiden, is currently ongoing in Young Animal.

The setting is Peleliu Island, a brutal battleground of the Pacific War where 10,000 Japanese soldiers were deployed, yet only 34 survived. This poignant story delves into the thoughts and experiences of young individuals facing the horrors of war, as portrayed through a relatable, three-headed character.
