The Chinese anime Paws & Palaces will receive a Japanese dub and premiere in October. A teaser PV, concept visuals, and the Japanese voice cast have been revealed.

Based on the webcomic Forbidden City: Cat Imperial Study by A’Nan and Daitu, the donghua originally aired from December 2025 to March 2026 with 16 episodes.
The story follows six cats living in China’s Forbidden City. While visitors know them as ordinary cats, they secretly protect the palace’s treasures by entering their inner worlds and fighting against a mysterious demon called the Black Owl.
