The new key visual and preview video for Patlabor EZY File 2 have officially been revealed. File 2, which includes episodes 4 to 6, will feature standalone anthology-style stories. The theatrical screening of File 2 in Japan will begin on August 14, 2026.

Advance movie tickets also went on sale today. The newly released key visual features the Ingram Plus Unit 2 in the background alongside the Unit 2 duo. Fans who purchase tickets will receive a special A4 clear file featuring the key visual, while supplies last.
In addition, the File 2 Blu-ray is scheduled to release on August 21, 2026. Select theaters across Japan will begin early Blu-ray sales on August 14, the same day the film opens in theaters.
The jacket artwork for the ending theme song “Baton”, performed by Mariko Nagai, has also been unveiled. The illustration was specially drawn by original character designer Masami Yuki. The song will be available on streaming platforms starting May 16.
