Rin Kusumi has been cast as Shio Minamo, one of the main heroines in the upcoming TV anime You Can’t Be in a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! by Shinya Misu. Alongside the announcement, the third teaser visual featuring Minamo’s character design has also been revealed.
The series is slated to premiere in 2026 and will be produced by Tezuka Productions.

Shinya Misu‘s original manga You can’t be in a rom-com with your childhood friends! has been serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website since March 2022, with 14 tankōbon volumes released to date.
You can’t be in a rom-com with your childhood friends! is a love triangle rom-com centered around Eeyuu, a high school boy, and his childhood friends, Shio and Akari, who attend the same school. While Eeyuu worries about their relationships, Shio and Akari show no signs of romantic interest, leading him to desperately conceal his own feelings.
