The official website for the You and Idol Precure♪ TV anime announced that singers Ami Ishii, Akane Kumada, and Chihaya Yoshitake who perform the show’s opening theme will appear as themselves in episode 36, airing in Japan on October 12.
The episode ties directly into the real-life concert “You and Idol Precure♪ LIVE 2025 You&I＝We’re IDOL PRECURE”, set for October 18 at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall. In the story, the Idol Precure team performs a live show at the same venue, marking the first time in the franchise’s history that an anime episode features the exact location of a related real-world event.
Episode 36 Preview:
The Pretty Cure franchise, also known as Precure, launched with its first series, Futari wa Pretty Cure, in February 2004. Its 21st installment, Wonderful Precure!, premiered on Crunchyroll in February 2024. The 22nd and latest entry in Toei Animation’s long-running magical girl saga, You and Idol Precure♪, debuted in Japan on February 2, 2025.

Middle school student Uta Sakura loves to sing any chance she gets. But music becomes more than a hobby when she meets Purirun, a fairy whose hometown has plunged into darkness. The Chokkiri Gang took over her land and began stealing her people’s sparkle. Determined to help, Uta is transformed into the legendary protector Cure Idol and vows to return their sparkle through song.
