The second season of the new Urusei Yatsura anime is set to premiere on January 11 in Japan, continuing the adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi‘s 1978 manga. david production is in charge of animation.
The announcement includes a fourth trailer, confirmation of a consecutive two-cours format, and the casting of Miyu Irino as Inaba. The first season, which premiered in October 2022, consisted of 23 episodes, and the entire anime is planned to have four cours.
The manga, originally serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1978 to 1987, had previous anime adaptations.
