Two additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her. Momo Sakurai (≠ME) will voice the mermaid Shike, while Aimi Ozawa (≒JOY) has been cast as Misaki, Shike’s close friend and fellow mermaid.
Sakurai and Ozawa will join Iori Noguchi from =LOVE, who will appear as Happiness. She will also perform the insert song “Tasuketekurete arigatō” as well as the special ending theme “YES! Summer Love.”
The series is set to premiere on January 6, 2026, and will also be streamed on Crunchyroll as it airs.
