The fantasy series The Villager of LV999 is officially getting a TV anime adaptation in 2026. It has been confirmed that Satoshi Inomata will voice the protagonist, Kouji Kagami, while Nao Tōyama will play the heroine, Alice. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and teaser PV have been released.

I’m Satoshi Inomata, and I’ll be playing the role of Kouji Kagami! After reading the original work, my first impression was that it made me think, “What exactly is ‘normal’?” Kagami is a laid-back person, but just as the title says, he’s the “The Villager of LV999”, so of course, he’s incredibly strong. Why did a villager become so powerful and how will his story unfold after meeting Alice from the demon race? Please watch and witness how they are going to confront various hardships and realities!

Originally written by Koneko Hoshitsuki, the novel first appeared on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2015 before being published by KADOKAWA. The series currently spans 8 volumes, all on sale.
A manga adaptation is also ongoing in Monthly Comp Ace, with 18 volumes available and volume 19 set to release on August 26, 2025. With over 3.8 million copies in print, the franchise continues to rise in popularity.
