The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 Gets July 9 Premiere Date, New Trailer & Visual Unveiled

Crunchyroll will stream the new season.

A new key visual and the second promotional video for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 have been unveiled. The upcoming season is set to premiere on July 9, with Crunchyroll confirming it will stream the series.

MADKID returns to perform the opening theme, titled “Resolution”, while Chiai Fujikawa will provide the ending theme, “Eternally Once”.

Based on the novel by Yusagi AnekoThe Rising of the Shield Hero Season 1 aired in 2019, Season 2 in 2022, and Season 3 in October 2023. Crunchyroll describes The Rising of the Shield Hero anime series:

Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero.

Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world.

But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?
