Shigeru Miyamoto has officially announced the lead cast for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda live-action film. Bo Bragason will take on the role of Zelda, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth has been cast as Link. “I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen”, Miyamoto shared.

A live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda is officially in the works and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 7, 2027. The movie will be directed by Wes Ball, best known for directing The Maze Runner trilogy and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
