The Last Blossom (HOUSENKA) Movie Sets October 10 Release Date in Japan

The release date for The Last Blossom (HOUSENKA), produced by CLAP Animation Studio, has been officially set for October 10 in Japan. Alongside this announcement, the studio unveiled a new trailer, the main visual, and additional cast members. The trailer also offers a first listen to the film’s opening theme, “Moving Still Life” performed by the band cero.

Anime Limited and Plaion Pictures have acquired the rights to The Last Blossom (HOUSENKA) for the UK & Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The film will be released theatrically in these regions, followed by a home video release.

SYNOPSIS:
“What a pathetic life it’s been”
An elderly inmate serving a life sentence awaits a lonely death in his solitary cell—until a voice calls out to him. It belongs to a balsam flower, Housenka, that speaks like a human. Through their “conversation,” the old man begins to reflect on the life he’s led.
