The TV broadcast debut of The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors Season 1 is set for April 5, 2024, in Japan. Prior to its television airing, the show was showcased through theatrical pre-screenings in Japan, divided into three parts: October 27, 2023, November 24, 2023, and January 5, 2024.

The anime adaptation of The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors draws inspiration from its namesake game, initially released as a browser game on the enza website in April 2018. In the game, players assume the role of a budding producer at 283 Production, entrusted with the task of nurturing and managing a diverse array of idols.

Crunchyroll describes the series:

When these three quirky souls cross paths with the mesmerizing world of idols, prepare for a heart-pounding spectacle. Join our 39 idols as they come together to paint the theaters with the dazzling hues of 1 million dreams!
