The TV anime The Dinner Table Detective is set to air starting April 2025 on Fuji TV’s “Noitamina” programming block, which will shift to an 11 p.m. timeslot in Japan. The series will feature the voice talents of Kana Hanazawa, Yuki Kaji, and Mamoru Miyano. Alongside the announcement, a key visual and teaser PV have been unveiled.

The story initially served as the basis for a stage play, a live-action series released in 2011, special episodes aired in 2012 and 2013, and a live-action film in 2013. The novels were first published in 2007, followed by three volumes released by Shogakukan in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
The Dinner Table Detective set in Kunitachi, Tokyo, the story follows Reiko Hôshô, the heiress of the prestigious Hôshô Group, as she takes on the role of a detective apprentice. Her mentor, Inspector Kazamatsuri, is the son of the owner of Kazamatsuri Motors, and together they tackle complex cases. Assisting Reiko is her sharp-tongued but brilliant chauffeur and butler, Kageyama, whose insights prove invaluable in solving her toughest challenges.
