The TV anime The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 is set to begin airing in July 2026. A teaser promotional video has been released. In addition, new setting artwork for the characters Scarlett and Mia who will make their debut in Season 2 has been unveiled, along with childhood character designs for Siesta, Nagisa, and Alicia.

The first season of The Detective Is Already Dead aired from July to September 2021 and was adapted from the mystery light novel series written by Nigoju and illustrated by Umibozu.
