The Detective Is Already Dead anime is celebrating its 4th anniversary with a special lyric video of its opening theme “Koko de Ikiteru”, performed by Mary × jon-Yakitory. The video is now available on KADOKAWA’s official anime YouTube channel, featuring memorable scenes from the anime’s first season.

As part of the anniversary celebration, it has also been confirmed that a new information for season 2 will be revealed on July 22.
Fans of the series have been waiting since the second season was announced in July 2022, and this update marks the next step in the anime’s return.
The first season of The Detective Is Already Dead aired from July to September 2021 and was adapted from the mystery light novel series written by Nigoju and illustrated by Umibozu. The anime’s season 1 is streaming on Crunchyroll, offering fans a chance to revisit the story ahead of season 2.

After thwarting a hijacking with beautiful, silver-haired detective Siesta, Kimihiko leads a life of globe-trotting and crime-solving—until Siesta dies. A year later, a new case will open old wounds as it threads murder, conspiracy, and his dead partner!
