A new seasonal visual for The Apothecary Diaries has been unveiled, featuring a persimmon theme. The illustration shows Jinshi reaching for a ripe persimmon while Maomao eagerly climbs a tree. As previously announced after the Season 2 finale, an anime sequel is currently in production.

The Apothecary Diaries is based on the light novels by Natsu Hyuuga and Touko Shino. Crunchyroll streams the series and describes it:
Maomao lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father. Until one day, she’s sold as a lowly servant to the emperor’s palace. But she wasn’t meant for a compliant life among royalty. So when imperial heirs fall ill, she decides to step in and find a cure! This catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome palace official who promotes her.
