The Apothecary Diaries is expanding beyond anime with its first-ever browser game, The Apothecary Diaries: Palace Chronicles, now open for pre-registration via G123.
In this upcoming title, players will train up Maomao, dive into palace life, and solve mysteries alongside over 35 characters from the series — including the ever-enigmatic Jinshi. While full gameplay details are still under wraps, early artwork hints at a richly illustrated, character-driven experience.

Fans can pre-register via Instagram, X (Twitter), or the official website, with tiered rewards already announced — including draw tickets, tea items, and a rare UR Xiaolan once sign-ups hit 200,000.

As a bonus, adding the game on LINE unlocks a free Jinshi wallpaper.

An English version of Palace Chronicles has also been confirmed, though the release date is still to be announced. The game will be free-to-play and browser-based.
Meanwhile, the hit anime adaptation directed by Norihiko Naganuma and streamed via Crunchyroll, continues to introduce fans to the sharp-witted Maomao, as she climbs from servant to medical sleuth inside the imperial palace.
Crunchyroll describes the anime as follows:
Maomao lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father. Until one day, she’s sold as a lowly servant to the emperor’s palace. But she wasn’t meant for a compliant life among royalty. So when imperial heirs fall ill, she decides to step in and find a cure! This catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome palace official who promotes her. Now, she’s making a name for herself solving medical mysteries!
