The Apothecary Diaries Anime Unveils Halloween Visual of Gaoshun & Basen

Crunchyroll streams the series.

A new Halloween visual featuring Gaoshun and Basen from the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries has been released, along with a short video including a mini voice drama.

The series will return for a third season, airing in two separate cours, the first in October 2026 and the second in April 2027. In addition, the franchise will release its first theatrical film in December 2026 in Japan, featuring an all-new original story written by Natsu Hyuga, the creator of the series.

The Apothecary Diaries is based on the light novels by Natsu Hyuuga and Touko ShinoCrunchyroll streams the series and describes it:

Maomao lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father. Until one day, she’s sold as a lowly servant to the emperor’s palace. But she wasn’t meant for a compliant life among royalty. So when imperial heirs fall ill, she decides to step in and find a cure! This catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome palace official who promotes her. Now, she’s making a name for herself solving medical mysteries!
