Tenkousaki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi datta Ken Anime Officially Announced for 2026

Upcoming romcom light novel adaptation.

Yu Hibari’s light novel Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken will be adapted into a TV anime set to premiere in 2026. The protagonist, Haruki Nikaido, will be voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa.

A teaser PV was also unveiled, highlighting Haruki’s hidden feelings. Alongside the announcement, illustrator Shiso responsible for the original artwork shared a special commemorative illustration.

Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken is a romantic comedy about Hayato, who transfers from the countryside to a city high school. There, he reunites with his childhood friend Haruki after seven years. However, Hayato is shocked to discover that Haruki, whom he always thought was a boy during their childhood, is actually a girl and now an elegant, beautiful young woman.

The original light novel will reach its latest 9th volume on August 29th, while the manga adaptation by Kina Oyama currently has 7 volumes available.
