The official website of the new Anpanman film has announced a new cast member. Actress Tao Tsuchiya will voice Pantan, a traveling red panda. Pantan is the original guest character of the movie.
The film is titled Soreike! Anpanman: Pantan to Yakusoku no Hoshi. It is the 37th film in the Anpanman movie series. The film will open in Japan on June 26, 2026.

Directed by Hiroyuki Yano, written by Shoji Yonemura, with music by Taku Izumi and Hiroaki Kondo, the film is distributed by Tokyo Theaters Company.
Soreike! Anpanman: Pantan to Yakusoku no Hoshi centers on Pantan, a red panda traveler who searches for a treasure in a rainbow star to fulfill a promise made to a past adventurer. Pantan teams up with Anpanman and friends to overcome one challenge after another.
