A compilation film based on the Summer Pockets TV anime will be released in theaters across Japan starting August 15. The announcement was made during a special livestream commemorating the seventh anniversary of the original Summer Pockets visual novel, which debuted on PC in 2018.
Produced by studio feel., the series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The anime will run for two consecutive cours, totaling 26 episodes.

Summer Pockets , a visual novel first released in 2018, was initially available on PC, iOS, and Android. It was later launched on the Nintendo Switch in 2019 and on Steam in 2020. An enhanced version, “Summer Pockets Reflection Blue,” featuring new heroines and routes, was released in 2020 for PC and Android, and in 2021 for iOS and the Nintendo Switch.

Summer Pockets is set on an isolated, rural, and peaceful island on the Seto Inland Sea called Torishirojima, which has a population of about 2,000 people. The protagonist is Hairi Takahara, a young man not native to the island. Hairi grew up in an urban setting, but after an unpleasant incident, he uses the recent death of his grandmother as an excuse to come to the island to take care of her estate sale. Once there, he gets to know four girls who are the focus of the story. They include Shiroha Naruse, who forgot her summer vacation; Ao Sorakado, who is pursuing the legends of the island; Kamome Kushima, a high-class girl looking for a pirate ship; and Tsumugi Wenders, a younger girl trying to find herself.
