STEINS;GATE Celebrates its 15th Anniversary with Special Video!

"STEINS;GATE will continue".

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the STEINS;GATE visual novel, and to celebrate, MAGES has released a retrospective video highlighting the series’ journey. The video revisits key entries, starting with the 2009 original and its spin-offs, continuing through the midquel STEINS;GATE 0, and culminating with the remastered STEINS;GATE Elite.

15th anniversary Video:

STEINS;GATE, a sci-fi visual novel from the Science Adventure series, was initially released for Xbox 360 in October 2009. It later inspired various adaptations, including a TV anime in 2011, an anime movie in 2013, and several other media like manga. Its sequel, STEINS;GATE 0, also received its own anime adaptation.

Steam describes the game as follows:

STEINS;GATE follows a rag-tag band of tech-savvy young students who discover the means of changing the past via mail, using a modified microwave. Their experiments into how far they can go with their discovery begin to spiral out of control as they become entangled in a conspiracy surrounding SERN, the organisation behind the Large Hadron Collider, and John Titor who claims to be from a dystopian future.

Interaction with the game takes place through the “phone trigger” system, where the player can receive calls and text messages and decide whether to reply to them or not, changing the outcome of the game’s plot.
