The theatrical anime Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 is set to open in 200 theaters across Japan on April 24, 2026. Alongside the announcement, the first key visual and teaser trailer have also been released.

Sound! Euphonium is a beloved brass band anime series produced by Kyoto Animation. Since its debut in April 2015, the franchise has expanded to include three seasons and five movies, encompassing theatrical releases, special editions, and spin-off films. This year marks its 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of music and storytelling.
After the emotional conclusion of Sound! Euphonium 3 in 2024, the story will reach its true finale in 2026 with the long-awaited theatrical feature, “Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 1.“
Featuring Kyoto Animation’s signature visual artistry, the film presents a new screenplay by Jukki Hanada and includes many newly animated sequences, such as performance scenes never shown in the television series. The entire production team has united to create a cinematic experience worthy of the title “The Final Movie”.

Finding herself, one note at a time… After a terrible disappointment at the All-Kyoto Concert Band Competition, music has lost its spark for Kumiko. But her first year at Kitauji High School is a chance for a fresh start. So when it comes time to choose a club, she can’t resist joining the band again–even though they’re simply terrible. The strict new club director has promised to whip them into shape to reach Nationals, but the trouble runs deeper than just a lack of practice. Plus, the discord within the club tugs at Kumiko’s old insecurities. Will Kitauji High School find its rhythm before the competition? Will Kumiko?
