The TV anime adaptation of Sono Keisatsukan, Tokidoki Yajuu! has officially been canceled. The production team announced the decision was made due to “various circumstances,” without giving further details.
The anime was first announced in March 2025 and was set to be directed and written by Saburo Miura. It was being developed by animation studio RABBIT GATE.

Sono Keisatsukan, Tokidoki Yajuu! follows the cohabitation of Hiyori, a timid and ordinary office worker, and Kumano, a police officer. After Hiyori accidentally gets involved in an accident and breaks her arm, Kumano, who happens to witness the incident, feels responsible and decides to move in with her to provide support. Initially, Hiyori is reassured by Kumano’s presence as an officer of the law, but soon, she realizes he has a wilder side that she never expected…
