Shou-3 Ashibe QQ Goma-chan Short Anime Reveals Theme Song in New Trailer

The theme song for the TV anime Shou-3 Ashibe QQ Goma-chan will be “CUE CUE CUTE”, a new song by Hey! Say! JUMP, performed by Hiromi Morishita. A promotional video featuring the song has also been released. The short anime series is scheduled to premiere on April 12.

Ashibe and Goma-chan will make an appearance at the Family Anime Festa 2026, which will take place alongside AnimeJapan 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo. On March 29th at 13:20, a special stage event will be held.

Additionally, from March 20th, limited-time shops will open at Tokyo Character Street in Tokyo Station and at 11 Kidaidand stores nationwide.

Futabasha publishes the Sho 3 Ashibe QQ Goma-chan manga in its Manga Action magazine. Crunchyroll currently streams the previous anime, Shonen Ashibe GO! GO! Goma-chan, and provides the following description of the series:

A comedy manga, “Shonen Ashibe,” that follows the friendship between baby spotted seal Goma-chan and first-grade student Ashiya Ashibe. First serialized in 1988 and adapted to anime in 1991, the adorable Goma-chan created a massive following and a spotted seal boom. This spring, Goma-chan returns to “Tentere Anime.” A cute, pleasant story of Ashibe and Goma-chan and their unusual school and their neighbors. Sometimes endearing, sometimes bizarre, it’s a fun anime for the whole family!
