A mini web anime for the TV series Scooped Up by an S-Rank Adventurer! has been announced. This short series will feature newly illustrated, chibi-style characters and tell light-hearted side stories. The mini web anime will be available on the official X (formerly Twitter) account and Happinet‘s YouTube channel.

The TV anime is scheduled to begin airing sequentially on July 10. Ahead of its television premiere, the series will be available for streaming in Japan via d Anime Store and ABEMA starting July 5. Crunchyroll will stream the series internationally.

Based on the light novels by Sora Suigetsu and DeeCHA, with contributions from Hiroshi Yamada, the series first debuted on the Japanese self-publishing platform Shousetsuka ni Narou in March 2020. Its print edition, released under the M Novels imprint, has been in publication since November 2020, with seven volumes available to date.
The manga adaptation, illustrated by Wasabi Mukuno, has been serialized under the Monster Comics imprint since May 2021.
The novel is a fantasy story about Lloyd, a white mage who is unexpectedly expelled from the hero’s party. By chance, he encounters a group of S-rank adventurers in search of a white mage. As he joins them on their journey, Lloyd gradually uncovers the truth about his abilities: he is not a typical support magic user. While embarking on his new path as an adventurer, he unknowingly begins to excel as a warrior.
