SAKAMOTO DAYS Live-Action Film Reveals Fumiya Takahashi as Shin

The upcoming live-action film adaptation of Yuto Suzuki.

An additional cast member has been announced for the live-action adaptation of SAKAMOTO DAYS, based on Yuto Suzuki’s popular manga. Fumiya Takahashi will play Shin Asakura, the trusted partner of the main character, Taro Sakamoto.

Alongside the casting news, new character visual and action footage featuring Shin have been revealed. The film is scheduled for release during Japan’s Golden Week in 2026.

The series has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020. Its anime adaptation aired its first cour from January to March, followed by the second cour from July to September on Netflix.

MANGAPlus describes the story as follows:

Taro Sakamoto was the ultimate assassin, feared by villains and admired by hitmen. But one day…he fell in love! Retirement, marriage, fatherhood and then… Sakamoto gained weight!
