SAKAMOTO DAYS Live-Action Film Reveals Aya Ueto and Miyu Yoshimoto as Sakamoto’s Family

Meet the Sakamotos.

The live-action adaptation of SAKAMOTO DAYS, based on Yuto Suzuki’s hit manga, has announced additional cast members. Actress Aya Ueto will play Aoi Sakamoto, the wife of the protagonist Taro Sakamoto, while Miyu Yoshimoto takes on the role of their daughter, Hana Sakamoto.

Alongside the casting news, new character visuals have been released. The film is scheduled for release during Japan’s Golden Week in 2026.

The series has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020. Its anime adaptation aired its first cour from January to March, followed by the second cour from July to September on Netflix.

MANGAPlus describes the story as follows:

Taro Sakamoto was the ultimate assassin, feared by villains and admired by hitmen. But one day…he fell in love! Retirement, marriage, fatherhood and then… Sakamoto gained weight! The chubby guy who runs the neighborhood?store is actually a former legendary hitman! Can he protect his family from danger? Get ready to experience a new kind of action comedy series!
