The fifth season of the TV anime Rent-a-Girlfriend is scheduled to air in 2026. To celebrate the announcement, a new illustration by character designer Kanna Hirayama has been unveiled.
The news comes right after the broadcast of the season 4 finale on September 19. Season 5 will continue directly from the events of season 4, serving as the second cour of the “Hawaiians Resort” arc.

Rent-A-Girlfriend, based on Reiji Miyajima‘s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2017, has achieved over 13 million copies in circulation. The anime adaptation premiered its first season in 2020, followed by Season 2 in 2022 and Season 3 in 2023. In addition, the series was adapted into a live-action drama in 2022.

Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old failure of a college student. He managed to kiss his girlfriend once, but was dumped after a month. “Ugh… Damn it. I never want to go through that again.”
