A sequel to the CG anime film PUI PUI Molcar the Movie: MOLMAX has been confirmed. The new installment, PUI PUI Molcar the Movie: MOLMAX, premiered today, November 29, in Japan. This sequel is a fresh addition to the PUI PUI MOLCAR franchise, featuring the signature stop-motion animation style.

The first season of Pui Pui Molcar aired in 2021, followed by the second season, Pui Pui Molcar Driving School, in 2022. A compilation film of the first season was released in July 2021. The series has inspired various merchandise, a Nintendo Switch video game, and numerous cross-franchise collaborations.
