Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht Rising- has been Delayed to Winter 2025!

The release date for “Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht Rising-” has been postponed from Winter 2024 to Winter 2025 due to production reasons.

All the original staff from Rebellion are returning for the new film, with Akiyuki Shinbo serving as the chief director and Gen Urobuchi from Nitroplus writing the script. Character designs will be created by Ume Aoki, with Junichiro Taniguchi adapting those designs for animation. Yuki Kajiura is once again composing the music, and Gekidan Inu Curry will return to design the Witch spaces. The film will be animated by studio Shaft, and the original voice cast will reprise their roles.

The original 2011 TV anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the 2020 spin-off series Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story are both available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Here’s how Crunchyroll describes the original series:
