Growing up constantly compared to his genius older brother, Toya Senji has a deep inferiority complex over his perceived lack of talent. For Toya, his academic achievement is his final stronghold. But, despite consistently ranking in the top 100 in national mock exams, he remains dissatisfied. One day, Toya witnesses his classmate Haito Luo Buffet engage in battle with a serial killer. Afterwards, he finds out about the supernatural “Stem of Reincarnation” and that Haito is what’s called a “Returner.” In disbelief, Toya learns that with the power of the “Stem of Reincarnation,” you can return from self-inflicted death and thereby gain the talents of a past life.
