Five new cast members have joined the new anime adaptation of the Mobile Police Patlabor series, titled Patlabor EZY: Ami Koshimizu, Chikahiro Kobayashi, Setsuji Sato, Yume Matsumura, and Megumi Hayashibara.
The project was first announced in 2017, with a pilot film screened at a special event in 2022. Patlabor EZY was officially revealed in September 2024 as part of a “2026 project start.”
The anime will consist of eight episodes in total, structured across three theatrical releases.
- File 1 will premiere on May 15,
- File 2 on August 14,
- File 3 in March 2027.
Episodes 1 through 6, included in File 1 and File 2, will follow an anthology format, with each episode telling a self-contained story. The final release, File 3, will feature Episodes 7 and 8, which form a continuous narrative.
