The TV anime Oedo Fire Slayer -The Legend of Phoenix- is set to premiere in January 2026. Alongside the announcement, the key visual and five main cast members were revealed. The series will be produced by SynergySP.

The Ushūboro Tobigumi series has been published by Shodensha up to 13 volumes. Oedo Fire Slayer -The Legend of Phoenix- is based on the historical events of the Great Fire of Meiwa and follows the story of Gengo Matsunaga, a fire-fighting samurai renowned as the best in Edo. Alongside his eccentric fire brigade, the Boroho-gumi, he strives to protect the people of Edo from the ever-present threat of devastating fires.
