The hit game NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE (also known internationally as NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD) is officially getting an anime adaptation. The series is slated to premiere in April 2026. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and promotional video have been released.

The game, developed by WSS Playground with character designs by Ohisashiburi, was first released on Nintendo Switch in October 2022 and later on PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2025.
nyalra shared a statement saying they were “recently informed” they would no longer take part in the anime’s promotional activities and had “not yet received full compensation.” They added that disagreements with Why So Serious, Inc. led to their removal from the project’s management “by a unilateral decision.”
