The second key visual for the NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE anime has been unveiled. The series is set to premiere in April 2026. The project is directed by Masayoki Nakajima of Yostar Pictures, known for his work on New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT.

The game, developed by WSS Playground with character designs by Ohisashiburi, was first released on Nintendo Switch in October 2022 and later on PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2025.
nyalra shared a statement saying they were “recently informed” they would no longer take part in the anime’s promotional activities and had “not yet received full compensation.” They added that disagreements with Why So Serious, Inc. led to their removal from the project’s management “by a unilateral decision.”
