A collaboration project between the anime My Hero Academia, created by Kohei Horikoshi, and Recruit Agent, a career support and job-change service, launched today on March 12.
Under the theme “People become stronger with people”, the collaboration introduces a special visual and promotional video.
The project was created because the team saw a connection between the story of My Hero Academia and the mission of Recruit Agent. In the series, characters grow stronger through the support of others— imilar to how career advisors work closely with job seekers to help them discover their strengths and move forward in their careers.
The visual features Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo, childhood rivals striving to become heroes, running side by side while pushing each other forward. The video, which includes scenes from the anime, conveys the message: “Because you are not alone, you can understand your weaknesses and strengths, overcome your limits, and grow stronger.” The video will be available until June 9.

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
