Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded Anime hits Japanese TV in October

The anime will run for one cour.

The TV anime Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded, based on the popular mobile game Monster Strike, will begin airing on TOKYO MX and 45 other stations across Japan this October. The series is scheduled to run for one cour.

While Monster Strike has previously been released through streaming platforms and theatrical films, this marks the franchise’s first-ever broadcast on terrestrial television.

Monster Strike is a role-playing physics game developed by MIXI for iOS and Android. It was released in October 2013. As of May 2025, the game has gained more than 64 million users worldwide.

Crunchyroll streamed several Monster Strike anime titles between 2016 and 2020. These include the Monster Strike web anime series (2016–2018), the spin-off MSonic! (2017), Monster Strike The Movie (2016), and Monster Strike the Movie: Lucifer Dawn of Despair (2020).

The protagonist, Ren Homura, returns to the town of Kaminohara, where he once lived. But did he really live in this place before? A nagging feeling tugs at his memories. Meanwhile, a strange game is forcefully installed onto his smartphone – a game called Monster Strike. A gauntlet of battles await him. Through the fierce fighting, he pieces together his scattered memories while uncovering the truth of the game. He’s supported by his companions: Aoi Mizusawa, Akira Kagetsuki, and Minami Wakaba. Together they take a step into the unknown, unsuspecting of the secrets hidden below the surface…
