Mamoru Hosoda’s Scarlet Anime Film Unveils Special Video Featuring Insert Song

Mamoru Hosoda writes and directs Scarlet.

The official website for Mamoru Hosoda‘s upcoming anime feature film Scarlet has released a special promotional video showcasing the film’s inserted song “Shukusai no Uta”. The track is performed by singer-songwriter Maya alongside Ayumu Matsuda, the vocalist of the pop band Rikon Densetsu.

Scarlet is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on Friday, November 21, with a U.S. theatrical release planned for early 2026 through Sony Pictures Classics.
