Akihito Tsukushi’s MADE IN ABYSS will be adapted into a theatrical anime series. The first installment, titled “Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery”, is set to premiere in 2026 in Japan.
The MADE IN ABYSS anime debuted in 2017 with its first TV season. This was followed in 2020 by the theatrical release MADE IN ABYSS: Dawn of the Deep Soul. In 2022, the second season, MADE IN ABYSS: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, continued the story. The upcoming installment, MADE IN ABYSS: Awakening Mystery, serves as a direct sequel to the second season.

The original manga is serialized on Takeshobo’s official website and WEB Comic Gamma. As of today, August 8, a total of 14 volumes have been released. The series has surpassed 22 million copies in circulation. The English edition is published by Seven Seas Entertainment, which describes the story as follows::
