The second season of the anime Little Shark’s Day Out, based on the manga by Penguin Box, will begin broadcasting on April 12 and will also be streamed on the anime’s official YouTube channel.
Alongside the announcement, the production revealed new characters, their voice cast, and the main promotional video. A new character, Kitsune-chan, will appear in the upcoming season and will be voiced by Karin Takahashi.

In addition, a special greeting event for “Little Shark’s Day Out” will take place at the Kadokawa booth during AnimeJapan 2026, held on March 28 and 29. Fans who attend the greeting event and the stage event featuring Kana Hanazawa, Megumi Han, and Misaki Kuno will receive an original flag as a special gift.

Little Shark is a heartfelt story set in the nostalgic town of Yayucho. It follows a baby shark and his friends as they head out on everyday adventures. Alongside the sequential release of 60 anime episodes starting in August 2023, the feature film Little Shark’s Day Out was released in August 2025.
