Leviathan Anime Series to Debut on Netflix on July 10

Netflix is set to dive into the world of steampunk adventure with the premiere of Leviathan, an original series based on Scott Westerfeld’s bestselling novel of the same name. The anime is scheduled for July 10!

Produced by Orange, the renowned studio behind hits like “BEASTARS” and “TRIGUN STAMPEDE“, this adaptation boasts direction from Christophe Ferrera, known for his work on “Eden“. Leading the production are Justin Leach and Taiki Sakurai.

Keith Thompson provided illustrations for Westerfeld‘s original Leviathan novel, which debuted on October 6, 2009. The story takes place in 1914, on the eve of war, a fugitive prince and a girl in disguise meet aboard a bioengineered airship, the HMS Leviathan, and change the course of history.
