The anime Kairyu to Yubinya-san (Dragonite and the Postman) will premiere on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on February 27. A teaser visual has been released, with more details set to be announced next Thursday.
On February 27, Pokémon Day, The Pokémon Company is celebrating with a special anime, Kairyu to Yubinya-san. Created in collaboration with CoMix Wave Films—the studio behind Your Name, Weathering with You, and Suzume—this commemorative project honors the anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.

The theme song, “Paper Airplane”, is performed by Suis, the vocalist of Yorushika, with music composed by Evan Call, known for his work on Violet Evergarden and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. In addition to the theme song, Evan Call also composed the anime’s soundtrack. Both the theme song and the full soundtrack will be released on February 27, coinciding with the anime’s premiere.
